All right. These past two days have not be the best. I don’t really remember what I ate, but it wasn’t terrible. Oh, except for thursday where I ate a gluten free pizza for lunch and dinner. (one pizza, two meals). Besdies the fact that this wasn’t particularly nutritious, this was the most disgusting pizza I have ever eaten. Pizza is not supposed to be made gluten free. Really....

Tuesday
Quite possibly the MOST unproductive day. Food: Two clementines Omelet, 2 eggs with tomatoes and celeries Protein shake, x2 God, i need to eat more. Worked out downstairs, did upperbody. Rows, facepulls, some db benching, and some curls. Was somewhat tired so didn’t really want to work out too hard. Just got the standard 20 mins in.

Sunday 12/18
Food: Morning: Some chocolates and a bun for breakfast Lunch: Pasta with tofu and eggs (I made sure to get a lot of tofu and two eggs in here) Dinner: Dumpings One thing I dislike about being at home is, once again, not having great control over my diet. Thankfully I am back at Baltimore where I can decide what I eat. So, back to healthy eating! Today (Monday) is a max effort lift day, so I...

Saturday 12/17
Food: Finished off a bag of tortilla chips with queso. Protein shake (2 scoops) Rice noodles with egg and vegetables Hotpot, consisted of some tofu/soy meats and vegetables. Since I went home, I didn’t have as much planning over my diet. Needless to say, until I get back tomorrow I will try to limit my carb intake, but other than that can’t do much else. No exercise either. I...

Round 2! Single digit go!!
Hey guys! This long semester is finally over! Last final is on Friday, but I am finally back to caring about what I eat and the exercise I get to do everyday. I will post progress periodically, (probably not daily), of my trek to ~8% bodyfat. I am following the Westside for Skinny Bastards template as Joe DeFranco describes here:...

Biking
My bike is not in good shape. The brakes on the right hand side are slightly messed up, and the tires are usually rather flat. Wednesday, I decided that I would go for a ride. This ride was not particularly to go somewhere. Rather, it was just to ride for the fun of it. The last time I rode a bike to have fun was two summers ago. What motivated me to do this? While talking about bikes with my...

I have decided to revise the no work after 4 pm procedure. I am going to extend it to 6pm to shift my schedule slightly backwards. Basically I will work til dinner. This gives me more time to include research into my schedule, which I had a hard time fitting with doing academics.

Project
Quick Back to Back Posts: Current Projects: - Tetris: Sub minute sprint (haven’t clocked in a while, I shall today) - Video Montage of Crossfire: I plan to take footage of my games, then compile it all into a nice video with music and all that good stuff. Will teach me to match music, edit video, and play with lag, I guess. I also have footage from replays. - Photography: Trying to find...

Music
I am going to go through and delete all my music. I plan to leave all the break beats, but the other songs I really should buy the artist’s music. Break beats are unfortunately difficult to get, but if I can find places to buy them I shall. Underground music is rather sketchy.

Foxified.
So after ~ a week of use, I am switching back to Firefox. I think the only moderate speed increase coupled with the back button not working properly, (this seems to be a fairly prevalent issue coupled with no easy fixes). But it works in firefox so I will go back to being foxified. I like to try new things though.. so look forward to Opera experimentation in a couple of days. Right now.. I need...

CHROMIFIED
Due to the post of my friend (link), I’ve decided to try chrome for a week. I will use this post to update as I discover things I like/dislike. LIKE: In Grooveshark, the scrolling through the songs tab is not messed up. In Firefox, this would spaz like crazy and it was really annoying. Basically when I scroll my wheel through the horizontal list of songs, it would keep jumping back and...

Current Projects
I like to call things I am currently doing “projects.” These are things beside of regular research, academic obligations, etc, that I do in my free time. They are usually computer related, and many times gaming related. So my last big project was in Crossfire, and I achieved that last month. (See post from 12/8). I have not played the game since. Now, I am working on: 1) Tetris: Goal...

New Year’s Resolutions: This is kinda late but here we go: 1) Do well in all my classes next semester. 2) Publish an academic article (gotta get cranking on that research!) 3) Play cello every day (in preparation for the HSO Concerto Competition) 4) Westside for Skinny Bastards! Because I am a skinny bastard. Day 2 was completed successfully yesterday. 5) Project Euler to learn python,...

I have a weird way of organizing things/keeping “post its”. Instead of having actual post-its, I usually send myself an email with the message in the title. This way, I can see my post it anywhere I have internet access, and it constantly reminds me of what I need to do. If there are additional details I can type it into the body of the email. Of course, some of you might wonder,...

I had a dream last night that I performed the Shostakovich Cello Concerto. This amused me because I’ve never heard the piece before (but I knew of its existence). Maybe this is a sign.

Tripped and fell
I sprained my ankle again. Doing toprock. Fail. I seem to only sprain my ankle doing toprock/footwork; I’ve never sprained my ankle doing other stuff. To be honest, it had never completely healed from last time, and I could still feel pain from time to time. Ken told me a while ago that ankle sprains are usually do to overpronation of the foot, so I will definitely condition that as part of...

As a stark contrast to the length of my last post: I have put on quite a few pounds. Time to run daily (of course I will account for days where it will be impractical). I will put up the results/stories of my runs daily. This being said, I plan to blast through my mat sci lab quiz in 20-40 minutes, come home, go for a run before I go study/chill at work. The other thing is that I injured my...

Today I took my first exam: Biomaterials. I was certainly much, much better prepared for this one, but I still missed some stuff in my review of material. I need to continue to improve my coverage to include everything. Anyway, that’s not what this post is about. If you care to read on, be ready for some abbreviations. This post is actually about… This post is about CrossFire...

It is not a good idea to take three classes back to back. By your third class it is incredibly hard to stay focused. While its awesome to get classes out of the way, not being able to focus while being in class is terribad.

Today I took my Mechanical Properties of Materials exam. This is one of my first core classes in which materials and their properties were the focus. I thoroughly enjoyed this class, and even though I know I did not ace the final, I feel very happy with how I did on the test. Even if I don’t get that A, I learned a lot in this class. Today, during the test, I realized strongly how important...

Basil-Spinach Eggs: Put pot on medium heat. Add eggs quickly. Apply basil while eggs are cooking. Once eggs are almost finished, apply the diced spinach. Use a little bit more oil to make sure everything is properly saturated/moisturized. Feel free to pour oil out after. Once all dishes are in, add minimal salt. Turn heat up to high and once the dish starts to sizzle turn heat off. Some...

A flurry of thoughts regarding competitive gaming/professional sports in general: This post is partly inspired due to some recent emails I read recently about people quitting SC or just competitive StarCraft because they become too stressed out about it. For those of you who would like a more detailed background, I recommend this article:...

Probably going to stop playing FPS’s for a while again. I am wondering if I really want to devote the inordinate amount of time to perfecting a skill that isn’t really useful outside of its field. That being said, I feel like the same is true for many, many things. A lot of activities only give you skills that are only really very specific to that field. Of course, there are...
